Do you what is the largest lizard on the earth?

Yes! Well indeed. It is the komodo!

They can reach lengths of more than ten feet and weigh over 300 pounds. The average size for males is eight to nine feet and about 200 pounds.

Komodo dragons are usually found in tropical savanna forests, but range widely over the islands, from beach to ridge tops. They escape the heat of the day and seek refuge at night in burrows that are barely big enough for them. However, komodo dragons are limited to a few volcanic Indonesian islands of the Lesser Sunda group including Komodo, the largest at 22 miles (35 km) long, Rintja, Padar, and Flores.

The news about 8 years old boy died after been attack by the komodo. The boys might save from physical injuries but he could not survived from the poison

They eat always everything that come pass in their ways such as they will eat almost anything, including carrion, deer, pigs, smaller dragons, and even large water buffalo and humans. When hunting they will rely on camouflage and patience, lying in wait for passing prey. When the komodo see their prey, they will attack them using their sharp claws, the powerful legs and try to tear the victims’ flesh. Although the Komodo can run briefly at speeds up to 13 mph (20 kph), its hunting strategy is based on stealth and power. They can spend hours in one spot, waiting for a deer, boar, goat, or anything sizable and nutritious.

Dragon saliva teems with over 50 strains of bacteria, and within 24 hours, the stricken creature usually dies of blood poisoning. So, if you still alive after had been bitten by this creature, you are the lucky one. It is because no one can survive from it.

Komodo has dangerous saliva that will make their prey could survive in the long period

Why they are dangerous?

It is because as what I have stated before, this animal will attack and eat all moving creatures that came pass in their ways. It is rare cases for komodo to attack humans but it still have. They will not kill their prey at that moment but makes their prey to die slowly by the effect of their poison saliva.

Just be careful when see this animal, don’t come near them. If they hungry, you will be their meal. J
