Do fish seem dangerous to you? Doesn’t
it look cute actually? To me I admit that fish actually are cute but, it is not
confirm that they are not dangerous.
In this entry, I will describe about
piranha. I pretty sure that many of us are very familiar and know basic facts
about this fish due to the Piranha 3D Film. In this film, it had shown that
piranha attack humans by group in the large number of participants. This cause
many people to death.
The film had been released in year 2010
and put high awareness to people about this creature.
Piranha was firstly found in Amazon and
now, it also has been found at other country which is Wisconsin and Bangladesh.
It is the most deadliest fishes in the world. It is because they love meats and
because of their love it makes fishes and fresh bodies in dangerous when
meeting this group especially when they are hungry.
In Amazon River, there are 20 species
of piranha that live there. Actually not all piranhas are attacking humans and
harmful. There are only 4 to 5 species that harm people and other species are quite
harmless and docile, but the ones with the nasty reputation for aggressive
behaviour are the red-bellied piranha, Pygocentrus nattereri.

Why are they so dangerous?
Even these fishes are small and only 5
to 10 inches each, they have a large number, a very sharp and triangular teeth.
Thus, they also come in group. And the best part, their teeth are replaceable
which means when one is broken off, a new one grows in its place. A school of
piranha take only a few minutes to tear off a large fresh body such as cow.
When they are hungry, they will attack more aggressive and only take shorter
time to tear off the meat.
Besides, piranhas also are cannibals.
When there was a shortage of food or blood they will tend to eat other
piranhas. After a young piranhas were born the females will take of it and
teach the young to eat meat from they were young. Basically, adult piranhas
also have interest in eating the young one. They also are the ferocious fish,
because they will not kill their victims immediately but eat them alive.
Although known as the dangerous
animals, some of native people in Amazon will take piranhas as their meals.
