Assalamualaikum J
In this entry, I would like to discuss
about the world smallest deadliest animals. Can all of you guess what it is? It
is just a tiny and small animal. You might not think that this animal is one of
the deadliest animals.
Mosquito,
the smallest deadliest animals
Lions and sharks might look terrifying,
but the animals that kill the most humans seem, on the surface, far more innocuous.
Dogs, flies, snails and mosquitoes are much more dangerous in reality than big
cats and monsters from the deep.
A
graphic created by Bill Gates for his blog shows the 15 most deadly species for
humans.
The graphic shows that most of humans
died in the world were by mosquito infection. It is because mosquito by itself
cannot kill people. But, due to the parasite that been carried out and virus
that have contain in the mosquito’s saliva, this makes all clear were the
diseases came from. Mosquitoes transmit disease in a variety of ways. In the
case of malaria, parasites attach themselves to the gut of a female mosquito
and enter a host as she feeds. In other cases, such as yellow fever and dengue,
a virus enters the mosquito as it feeds on an infected human and is transmitted
via the mosquito’s saliva to a subsequent victim.
There are more than 3,000 species of
mosquitoes, but the members of three bear primary responsibility for the spread
of human diseases. Anopheles mosquitoes are the only species known to carry
malaria. They also transmit filariasis (also called elephantiasis) and
encephalitis. Culex mosquitoes carry encephalitis, filariasis, and the West
Nile virus. And Aedes mosquitoes, of which the voracious Asian tiger is a
member, carry yellow fever, dengue, and encephalitis.
So, put aside your worries about tiger,
lion and other wild animals. Be paranoid about this species because they can
attack you easily and at the sametime give new diseases to you.
