PUFFER FISH

Those it seems cute to you? Seems like the innocent one?

Puffer fish is an easily recognized type of fish due to ability to transform and enlarge its body in a split of a second. There are more than 120 species of puffer fish which live mostly in the warm waters of the Indian, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, with only 30 species that are living in the freshwater. The puffer fish is most well-known for its unique and distinctive adaptations that the puffer fish has to defend itself.

The puffer fish has the remarkable ability to expand its body extremely quickly when faced with danger, unavailing its long poisonous spikes that cover its body. If a fisherman catches a puffer fish, they will never touch the spikes as they are highly toxic to humans and animals.


Almost all pufferfish contain tetrodotoxin, a substance that makes them foul tasting and often lethal to fish. To humans, tetrodotoxin is deadly, up to 1,200 times more poisonous than cyanide. There are enough toxins in one pufferfish to kill 30 adult humans, and there is no known antidote. However, when be attacked by puffer fish the person may become paralyzed. Artificial respirations may keep the person alive until medical attention in a hospital's emergency department is possible.

However still have predators for this animal. Shark has an ability to eat puffer fish without any harm.
So, that’s make human also can eat this fish due to not all puffer fish is harmful and have this toxic. And the most important part, if you want to eat this fish, make sure that the restaurant has a most credible chef that can clean the fish hundred per cent away from their toxics.
